Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said on X that he is personally developing a new programming language for Cardano with Lucas Rosa, a software engineer at Input Output Global who co-created Aiken. The language would combine transaction intents, which let users state the outcome they want without specifying the steps; proof-carrying data, which attaches verifiable evidence that information follows certain rules; and Groth16 proofs, which are compact and can show a condition was met without revealing private data. Together, these tools could let developers build apps that coordinate trades and verify information, with Cardano checking only a small proof at the end. Hoskinson has not disclosed the language’s name, released any code, or given a release date.
