The People's Bank of China plans to unveil a digital yuan system for central-bank operations and a smart-contract services framework at the Beijing Financial Street Forum, according to a briefing on Oct. 12. The program lists 13 events, including the Chengfang FinTech Forum and a seminar on AI applications and risk prevention, and will also cover blockchain and digital finance. At the 2025 forum, the PBOC announced a digital yuan operations and management center in Beijing. The forum runs through Oct. 22 with 21 agenda events across its main and parallel forums and three special conferences on fintech, insurance and investment, and organizers expect more than 400 guests from over 40 countries and regions.
