55ip, a tax-smart investment technology platform, has expanded its unified managed account (UMA) offering to the RIA channel, starting with model portfolios that include separately managed accounts (SMAs) from J.P. Morgan Asset Management and BlackRock. The single-account structure combines managed and custom model strategies with equity SMAs, ETFs and mutual funds, while 55ip's ActiveTax Technology continues to provide tax transition recommendations. Citing Cerulli, 55ip said U.S. UMA assets are projected to reach about $3.7 trillion by the end of 2026, and additional asset managers are expected to join later this year.
