- Binance.US seeks $1B valuation in potential $100M funding round: Report
According to Bloomberg, Binance.US is seeking to raise up to $100 million in a private funding round that could value the exchange at $1 billion. That valuation is well below the $4.5 billion pre-money valuation from 2022, when it raised $200 million in seed funding. Binance.US reportedly informed World Liberty Financial about the round, but World Liberty will not participate. The effort is part of its push to regain market share against larger rivals after a 2023 settlement in which Binance Holdings agreed to pay $4.3 billion in penalties and accept added monitoring, and then-CEO Changpeng Zhao pleaded guilty to a felony, served four months in prison and received a pardon from Trump in 2025.
