Eagle Bancorp reported third-quarter 2026 net income of $24.2 million, or $0.79 per share, up $17.3 million from the second quarter, mainly because its provision for credit losses was $18.6 million lower. Net interest income fell $1.0 million, noninterest income fell $1.2 million, and noninterest expense rose $3.1 million, so pre-provision net revenue dropped to $23.8 million from $29.1 million. Nonperforming assets rose $52.9 million to $166.0 million, mostly due to one significant relationship, and CEO Steve Curley said the asset quality work is not complete. Annualized net charge-offs fell to 0.25% from 2.78%, while the net interest margin rose to 2.60% from 2.52%. The company also declared a $0.01 per-share cash dividend payable November 17, 2026.
