Solana voters approved SGP-0002 with 67.00% support, above the 66.67% threshold, a proposal to double the annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30% while keeping the long-term inflation target at 1.5%. The vote followed a fix to a governance flaw that could have left independent staker ballots out of the count if their validator never voted. Asymmetric Research estimated that support would have been 66.65% under the earlier software, 0.02 percentage point below the threshold, based on 212 independent ballots representing 2.81 million SOL. The vote approved the direction of the change but not a new schedule, which still requires acceptance and activation of SIMD-0550.
