- HOSE updates list of stocks ineligible for margin trading at end of October
HOSE updated its list of 67 stocks and fund certificates ineligible for margin trading as of October 26, 2026, adding DSH of Đông Sơn Holdings because it has been listed for less than six months. DSH listed 35 million shares on HOSE on October 26, with total listed value of 350 billion VND at par, a reference price of 11,900 VND per share in its first session, and a ±20% price band. Other codes remain on the list due to warning or control status, trading restrictions, negative after-tax profit attributable to parent shareholders in the 2026 half-year reviewed statements, or half-year review reports lacking an unqualified opinion.
- Panic Shows No Sign of Ending: 35% of Company's Shares Offered at Floor Price, Almost No Buyers
Shares of Kosy (KOS) have hit the floor price for 17 consecutive sessions, dropping to VND 8,960 on October 13, with 75.6 million shares offered at the floor price, roughly 35% of the company's shares, yet almost no buyers. The pressure stems largely from margin-call sales of shares held by Chairman Nguyễn Việt Cường and related parties, which has made it hard for securities firms to liquidate collateral. Kosy says the market is falling on momentum and some brokers cutting margin ratios and forcing sales have added selling pressure, while its core businesses remain on plan. Its reviewed semi-annual 2026 report shows revenue of nearly VND 723 billion (up 9%) and after-tax profit of over VND 15 billion (up about 121%), only about 13% of its full-year target of VND 120 billion. Ms. Hoàng Thị Yến, sister-in-law of Chairman Cường, has registered to buy 8 million KOS shares from October 15 to November 13, which would raise her ownership to about 3.71%.
- Real estate company of Dr. Nguyễn Việt Cường loses over VND 5,000 billion in market value in just one month
Kosy (HoSE: KOS) shares closed at the VND 9,630 floor price on October 12, down 6.96%, after 16 consecutive sessions at the floor. The company's market value fell about VND 5,113 billion, from roughly VND 7,198 billion to around VND 2,085 billion within about a month, while sell orders at the floor exceeded 70 million shares with almost no buyers. Kosy said investor selling sentiment and some brokerages cutting margin ratios for KOS had added pressure on the price and liquidity, and maintained that core business operations had no unusual changes. In the first half of 2026, revenue reached nearly VND 722.7 billion (up 9%) and after-tax profit was VND 15.36 billion (up 120.7%), about 12.8% of the VND 120 billion full-year target. Ms. Hoàng Thị Yến, sister-in-law of chairman Nguyễn Việt Cường, registered to buy 8 million KOS shares from October 15 to November 13.
