Porsche, Volkswagen Group brands and CARIAD are jointly building a shared autonomous-vehicle data flywheel, with Porsche leading the initial implementation alongside NVIDIA, Microsoft and Voxel51. The system links data from a fleet generating the equivalent of 11,000 average drivers per day to simulation, training and evaluation, and is expected to cut repeated physical test drives by up to 90% and shorten AI regression test cycles by up to 85%. Voxel51 supplies the data layer and runs roughly 80 checks on raw recordings before reconstruction, NVIDIA provides Cosmos and Omniverse NuRec technologies, and Azure provides the cloud infrastructure. One of the first applications is virtual validation of driving-software releases, which compares simulated outputs from reconstructed real drives with real-world measurements.
