Western Union has selected stablecoin infrastructure provider Noah to support cross-border transfers. Under the deal, Noah will provide on-chain infrastructure for Receiver Redirect, which delivers international transfers in USDPT, Western Union's US dollar stablecoin. The service covers more than 60 currencies across over 200 countries and territories, with senders using a network of more than 500,000 agent locations and recipients holding USDPT in a Western Union wallet via Stablecard. Noah will also handle pre-funding, conversion, distribution, licensing and local regulatory compliance. The agreement follows Noah's $38m funding round earlier this month.
