- Here a list of September inflation rates for selected Canadian cities
Canada's annual inflation rate was 3.1% in September, according to Statistics Canada. The agency also released figures for major cities but warned they may fluctuate widely because they are based on small statistical samples. Toronto had the lowest rate among the cities listed at 2.1%, unchanged from the previous month, while Whitehorse was highest at 6.1%, up from 5.9%. Charlottetown-Summerside rose from 4.5% to 5.6%, Halifax from 4.8% to 5.4%, and Calgary eased from 3.8% to 3.4%.
