TrustCo Bank (TRST) reported third-quarter net income of $17.3 million, up 6.5% from a year earlier, and diluted EPS of $1.02, up 18.6%. Net interest income rose 9.1% to $47.0 million, and net interest margin widened to 2.95% from 2.79%. The bank raised its quarterly dividend to $0.40 per share, a 5.3% increase, and bought back 8.3% of outstanding common stock in the first nine months of 2026, on pace to repurchase 15.8%, or 3 million shares, by the end of 2026. Nonperforming loans rose to $21.1 million from $18.5 million a year earlier, and management said some loan volumes fell due to the sharp rise in interest rates during the quarter.
