- Qalibaf warns US : Break free from manufactured matrix before it is too late
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, in a post on X, warned US officials about the consequences of a war against Iran, likening the choices offered to Washington to ten bad pills and urging them to break the 'manufactured matrix' and leave. Citing an economist, the article estimates that eight months into the war, its economic fallout has cost the US economy $265 billion, or nearly $2,000 per household, with soaring energy prices accounting for about $1,100 of that through fuel, heating and transport costs. This estimate is seven times the direct military cost that War Secretary Pete Hegseth gave Congress for the period from February 28 through late July.
