  • Dat Phuong Revenue Up 48% After 9 Months

Dat Phuong Group (HOSE: DPG) reported nine-month net revenue of VND 4,209 billion, up 48%, and nine-month net profit of VND 332 billion, up 15%. Profit attributable to the parent company reached VND 286 billion, up 36%. Construction remained the main growth driver, contributing VND 3,704 billion, or nearly 88% of total revenue, while real estate revenue rose 52 times and electricity sales fell 20%. Gross profit grew 14%, slower than revenue, so the gross margin fell from 15.75% to 12.16%, as construction carries a margin of 8.2%. Financial expenses rose 40% to VND 121 billion as borrowings increased. At 30 September 2026, total assets reached VND 11,108 billion, up 36%, including VND 2,470 billion in unfinished construction costs, while borrowings reached VND 5,665 billion, up 46%, and the liabilities-to-equity ratio rose to 1.94 times.

  • US Economy Sets Unprecedented Record in 80 Years

US debt held by the public reached USD 32,200 billion at the end of September, equal to 100.03% of GDP in fiscal 2026, the first time the ratio has reached 100% at the end of a fiscal year since 1946. The ratio rose from 99.4% in fiscal 2025 but stayed below the 100.6% forecast by the CBO. The federal budget deficit in fiscal 2026 approached USD 2,000 billion, or 6.2% of GDP, even though the economy was not in a severe recession or crisis. The CBO projects net interest costs will rise by more than one percentage point of GDP over the next decade, and a rate 0.1 percentage points higher would add USD 379 billion in interest over 10 years. The Social Security trust fund is projected to run out of reserves in 2032, and CBO Director Phillip Swagel said deep political divisions are the biggest obstacle to agreement on raising revenue or controlling spending.

  • Vingroup Posts 9-Month Profit of VND 43.7 Trillion, Up 6-Fold, Raises USD 2.3 Billion from International Sources

  • Selling the map, not the chips: How Gartner is cashing in on AI

Gartner (NYSE: IT) reported an adjusted profit beat of 16.2% in its latest quarter, with adjusted EPS of $4.37 against $3.76 in consensus expectations and revenue of $1.67 billion. The article highlights its capital-light model, with a 77% research contribution margin in the Insights division, a 31% return on invested capital, and $1.3 billion in free cash flow over the past 12 months without hardware debt. Gartner says more than 80,000 business leaders and 10,000 corporate CIOs rely on its research, and contract value growth re-accelerated for a second consecutive quarter, with enterprise AI as its largest commercial catalyst. Management continues to return surplus cash to shareholders, spending $547 million on share repurchases in the second quarter alone. Over the past year, buybacks reduced total shares outstanding by about 14%, boosting per-share earnings.

  • Alphabet tumbles 12% on capex: Why Oracle is bucking the tech sell-off

Alphabet (GOOG) fell 12.29% to $288.32 in trading, after quarterly revenue reached $127.58 billion but diluted EPS dropped to $2.12. Quarterly investing outflows rose to $71.35 billion against $42.29 billion in operating cash flow, and management raised full-year capex guidance to $195–205 billion. Google Cloud backlog stands at $514 billion and the Gemini app has over 950 million active users, but rising hardware depreciation, power commitments including a 3.6-gigawatt nuclear supply deal with Constellation Energy, and an antitrust monitor for its ad-tech business are pressuring margins. Oracle (ORCL) rose 10.7% to $144.54 on record quarterly revenue of $19.35 billion, up 30%, with OCI revenue up 121% to $7.4 billion. The article says Oracle delivered 850 megawatts of capacity and over 300,000 GPUs at 97.9% utilization, and closed over $30 billion in new AI contracts, but its $90–95 billion capex guidance led to negative first-quarter free cash flow of $5 billion, and credit default swap spreads briefly neared 300 basis points.

  • A2Gold signs agreement to sell Bolo Gold project in Nevada

A2Gold has agreed to sell 100% of its Bolo Gold project in Nye County, Nevada, US, to Super Gold Mining. The project comprises 187 unpatented lode mining claims and the Uncle Sam claim. At closing, Super Gold will issue 3,750,000 common shares at a deemed value of C$0.40 each (C$1.5m, or $1.07m), replace about $198,500 in reclamation bonding and reimburse this year's claim maintenance fees. Super Gold must complete an initial NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate within two years and use commercially reasonable efforts to complete a Going Public Transaction within 12 months, failing which A2Gold is entitled to C$200,000 in cash. Closing is expected within the next few weeks, subject to conditions including replacement bonding and approval of the Plan of Operations transfer.
