The project is designed to handle about 50 million tonnes of cargo per year and will proceed in three phases: 2027-2030 for seawalls, reclamation, land leveling and core infrastructure; 2031-2033 for about 200 ha of warehouses, container yards and port-related commercial services, with these opening from 2031; and from 2034, completing the rest, targeting full operation in 2036. It is expected to strengthen cargo storage and transshipment and connect the seaport with industrial zones and transport networks.
