  • 12 Companies That Launched Bitcoin Treasuries in 2025 Have Sold All Their Bitcoin. Here's the Potential Impact.

A dozen digital asset treasury (DAT) companies that began buying Bitcoin in 2025 have sold all their coins, mostly to repay debt or return cash to investors after their stocks fell, according to Bitwise's October 2026 market report. The DAT model pioneered by Strategy relied on issuing shares or debt to buy more coins while the stock traded above the value of its holdings, and the process reversed once that premium disappeared. Sequans Communications, for example, accumulated more than 3,200 coins from June 2025 and sold its last by Sept. 24 of this year after using the proceeds to eliminate convertible debt. With public companies' average cost at $80,500 per coin in September 2026, many sellers likely took losses after Bitcoin entered a bear market in October 2025. Corporate buyers absorbed a net 18% of new supply in Q3, so the sales had little effect on price, but Strategy, holding 848,517 coins (about 4% of the 21 million supply cap), could have a large impact if it became a major seller.

The company still holds 848,517 BTC, acquired for $64.02 billion at an average price of $75,446 per coin. Since October began, it has spent about $664 million on STRC buybacks versus $72.3 million for 851 BTC, as Bitcoin fell toward $80,000 after reaching $84,777 on Wednesday.

  • Strategy Pauses Bitcoin Buying, Spends $205M Buying Back STRC

Strategy bought no Bitcoin last week, its first pause since mid-September, and sold no shares through its at-the-market program. The company spent $204.9 million buying back 2,068,459 shares of its variable-rate STRC preferred stock, up from $193.1 million the week before, while its USD Cash balance fell to $242.4 million from $447.3 million. It still holds 848,517 BTC, after buying 267 BTC for $22.1 million the previous week. $956.8 million remains under the $3 billion preferred buyback program, which was raised from $2 billion a week earlier. Separately, Strategy faces possible removal from MSCI's equity indexes under a new rule on “non-operating companies,” which Chairman Michael Saylor has urged MSCI to drop as “discriminatory.”

  • Strategy Buys $22M in Bitcoin, Buys Back $193M of STRC

Strategy bought 267 BTC for $22.1 million last week and repurchased $193.1 million of its STRC preferred stock, according to an SEC filing. Its board raised the digital credit securities repurchase program cap to $3 billion from $2 billion, leaving $1.16 billion available. The Bitcoin purchase was funded mainly by selling MSTR common stock, while the STRC buybacks came from cash reserves. The company now holds 848,517 BTC, acquired for a total of $64.02 billion at an average of $75,446 per coin. Strategy also faces possible removal from MSCI's indexes under a rule on 'non-operating companies'; MSCI will publish the affected list on November 11, and such companies are treated as ineligible from the close of November 30.

  • Strategy adds 250 Bitcoin as holdings reach 848,250 BTC

Strategy said its Bitcoin holdings reached 848,250 BTC after buying 250 BTC for $21.5 million last week, a second straight weekly decline in purchases. The company funded $21 million through common stock sales and $500,000 from existing cash, and spent $192.4 million repurchasing STRC preferred stock, up from $176.3 million the previous week. It maintains a $4.88 billion US Reserve for preferred dividends and debt interest, plus $640.5 million in USD cash as of Sunday. The purchase followed a Sunday post by Michael Saylor signaling another buy, and Strategy typically reports purchases in SEC filings, which are closed Monday for Columbus Day. Accumulation has slowed, with holdings rising just 0.2% in the third quarter as the company acquired 7,218 BTC while selling 5,553 BTC.

  • Strategy shareholders approve daily dividends for four preferred stocks

Strategy shareholders approved amendments allowing its four preferred stocks, STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD, to pay dividends every business day, with 99.3% of votes cast in favor per preliminary results. Dividends will accrue daily, including weekends and holidays, without changing annual dividend rates, which range from 8% to 12%. Daily payments on STRC start Nov. 2, while the other three follow on Jan. 4, 2027; Strategy said the change shortens the time between earning dividends and receiving cash. STRC carries a variable rate currently set at 12%, while STRK also allows conversion into common stock. Fellow Bitcoin treasury company Strive began daily dividends on its SATA preferred stock in June and plans daily payments on SATS, which pays a fixed 15%, from Nov. 9, subject to declaration.

  • Minister of Agriculture and Environment: No abuse of land recovery

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trịnh Việt Hùng said land recovery under the draft amended Land Law must be strictly controlled, not abused, and not hinder project implementation. The draft shifts from compensating recovered assets to rebuilding people's lives, and requires each land plot to have a unique nationwide identifier. Land price tables and price adjustment coefficients issued by provincial People's Councils will apply from 1/1/2028, and the government proposes continuing the pilot for transferring land-use rights for commercial housing under Resolution 171/2024/QH15 rather than codifying it now. Nationwide there are about 105 million land plots, over 70 million with data and nearly 44 million connected, and the government has assigned the ministry to complete the land database in 2026.

  • Microsoft seeks at least $25 billion in first bond sale since 2017

Microsoft is seeking at least $25 billion through a U.S. bond offering of 10 tranches with maturities from two to 40 years, returning to the investment-grade market for the first time in more than nine years. Its last high-grade issuance, in 2017, raised $17 billion, and proceeds will fund general corporate purposes such as capital expenditures, working capital, share repurchases, acquisitions and debt repayment. The sale follows a fiscal first-quarter earnings report showing strong cloud growth, as major technology companies increase spending on AI infrastructure. Initial price guidance ranges from 50 to 55 basis points over Treasuries for the two-year notes to 130 to 135 basis points for the 40-year bonds due 2066.

  • One Magnificent Seven Stock Could Deliver Outsized Returns. Here's the Math

The 24/7 Wall St. model sets a 12-month price target of $421.17 for Alphabet (GOOG), implying 34.05% upside from a $314.19 baseline, with a 70% confidence score. Cloud revenue rose 82% to $24.8 billion in the second quarter, backlog reached $514 billion, and cloud operating margin widened from 20.7% to 35.6% over a year. Against that, capex doubled to $44.92 billion, pushing free cash flow to -$5.86 billion, long-term debt rose from $46.5 billion to $98.2 billion, buybacks were suspended, and a $40 billion at-the-market program raises dilution risk. Shares fell 6.58% over the past week and trade at about 13 times trailing earnings, between a 52-week low of $266.47 and a high of $403.96. The bull case reaches $442.49 and the bear case $366.77, which still implies a 16.73% gain.

  • Morning Minute: Hedge Funds Left the BTC ETF Trade and Sovereign Wealth Stepped In

Decrypt's Morning Minute examines why hedge funds exited the bitcoin ETF trade while sovereign wealth funds and wealth managers bought. Citing SEC filings, the newsletter says nine hedge funds and banks, including Millennium, Brevan Howard and Goldman Sachs, sold about 68,000 bitcoin worth of ETF shares from the October 2025 high through June, roughly $5.4 billion at current prices. The main driver was shrinking returns on the ETF-futures trade: its annualized spread fell from 7.9% before the high to 4.8% by late October, and Galaxy's Alex Thorn estimates only about 1.5 points remain over T-bills after fees and financing. Morgan Stanley's wealth management arm, Mubadala and the Abu Dhabi Investment Council bought, while investors too small to file cut holdings by just 6.6% as the price fell 49%. Funds have since added about 87,000 bitcoin, and October ETF flows were nearly flat by Tuesday, with $724 million arriving in the last eight sessions.

  • Unlimit founder backs Phase blockchain with $45M as mainnet launches

Phase, a new blockchain, lets smartphone users earn PHASE tokens by validating transactions and sharing internet connections with AI agents through its Phase Proxy service, which launched alongside the chain. Unlimit founder Kirill Eves has committed $45 million, covering the first two years of development with another two years of runway, and the company says it has no outside investors. Eves argues that websites often block automated traffic from data centers, so agents need connections from consumer devices, and current flagship smartphones can deliver approximately 35–45 TOPS of AI processing. Phase plans AI computing and multi-model routing services in November, and part of their revenue will buy PHASE on the open market to reward node operators.
